Aine Mahony was born in Ireland and started to learn piano at the age of 9. Having discovered her love of music, she went on to study music at University College Cork with a focus on piano performance. Having focused on tutoring in music and teaching both piano and music theory throughout her time in University, Aine went on to complete an M.MUS at University College Dublin with a focus on Music Theory and Analysis!
Having graduated in 2012, Aine began working Play Piano School of Music where she taught Piano and Music Theory full-time under the RIAM, LCM and ABRSM syllabi. In 2014, she relocated to Vancouver where she began working as Director of Performing Arts at The Arts Connection in Richmond. Here, Aine began teaching music theory to students under the RCM syllabus, including all levels of Rudiments, Harmony, History, Counterpoint and Analysis.
