Meet our cello teacher Laine Longton! Laine has been playing the cello since the age of 5 and is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the DMA program at UBC. She has studied extensively in both North America and in Europe. Laine has been teaching since the age of 19, during which she has taught all levels and ages from absolute beginner to advanced.
As a cellist and artist, Laine believes the most important thing when learning the cello is to have fun! Without fun, the students do not learn to love the instrument and to practice. Music should be an enjoyable part of life and learning an instrument should enrich a student’s life and appreciation of this magnificent art form! #cello #vancouver
